I joined Matthias’ lab in October 2021 as a postdoctoral researcher, focusing on the role of ubiquitylation in phagosome maturation.
I obtained my PhD from the University of Technology Sydney in the lab of Steven Djordjevic where I studied novel virulence mechanisms of the porcine pathogen Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. I then obtained a Marie Curie fellowship to work at the Institute of Pharmacology and Structural Biology in Toulouse, France in the lab of Olivier Neyrolles. Here, I worked on the identification of the ligand of the C-type lectin receptor DCIR, and its role in regulating the innate immune system.
