Amy George

I joined the Trost group in January 2022 as a PhD student to characterise tyrosine kinase-targeted therapies in acute leukaemia using a proteomic-based approach.

Before this, I completed my BSc in Biomedical Sciences with a specialism in Cancer Biology and an MPhil at the Institute of Cancer Therapeutics, University of Bradford, where I performed proteomic profiling of nipple aspirate fluid for the early detection of breast cancer.

Later I worked as a Research Assistant in Mass Spectrometry in the Peptidomics and Proteomics Core Facility of the Institute of Metabolic Sciences, University of Cambridge, developing mass spectrometric methods for quantifying plasma peptides and protein biomarkers in various metabolic diseases.
