Atakan Nalbant

I joined the Trost Lab as a PhD candidate in September 2020 to study drug-peptide conjugates in cells and potential drug intake mechanisms of cells within the Marie Curie ITN “MagicBullet-reloaded”. I received my BSc from BIlkent University in Chemistry, and my MSc from METU on Bioanalytical Chemistry with a focus on metabolomics and mass spectrometry where I investigated to develop an extractive device to sample from the eye surface for untargeted metabolomics applications. Alongside my studies, I have also volunteered, and was later employed by the Turkish Institute of Health (TUSEB), in Aziz Sancar COVID-19 Test Center in Ankara, Turkey where I was part of a team running PCR and serological testing as well as preparing procedures for new testing centers throughout the country.
