I joined Matthias’s lab in 2020 as an SNF-funded research associate to study innate immune responses to Salmonella infection. I obtained my PhD in Microbiology at Dundee University (UK) working on bacterial competition. After completing my PhD, I moved to Basel for a 3 year postdoc to study how Salmonella adapts to heterogeneous environments in a mouse model of typhoid fever.
